Most of the games in the franchise are platform games, although the series also includes other genres such as racing video games, party games and endless runners. Each game focuses on the titular protagonist Crash Bandicoot, an anthropomorphic orange bandicoot. It also features a large cast of other characters such as Doctor Neo Cortex, Aku Aku, Coco Bandicoot, Crunch Bandicoot, Doctor N. Gin, and Uka Uka. The latest game in the series is Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, released in March 2021 for Android and iOS.

Sane Trilogy collection and the series' long-awaited fourth installment. Thanks to these titles, everyone's favorite orange bandicoot now has upgraded looks, as well as an increased difficulty level to match. Like many of its predecessors, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is incredibly challenging, but whether or not it is the most difficult Crash Bandicoot game ever made is perhaps a matter for debate.

Crash Tag Team Racing is definitely one of the simpler bandicooting installments in the series. An odd hybrid between classic Crash and Crash Bandicoot kart racing games, this game is childishly comedic, yet entertaining at the same time.

The motorcycle levels are especially challenging. The giant pits and difficult steering mechanics make these levels an absolute pain for many players. Sadly, this doesn't get much easier in the N Sane Trilogy collection either. Crash needs a bike with better handling.

Futuristic racing picked up speed when the hugely popular WipEout made its debut on PlayStation in 1995, creating fans so fast that it got a sequel only a year later. So it should come as no surprise that both games feature in this PS4 collection, also strapping in WipEout HD Fury for the ride.
